Robin Vassey
FOUNDER/SLP-A
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Robin established Speech Plus Therapy Services, LLC in 2023 with the vision of creating a practice that emphasizes a collaborative care approach. She is deeply passionate about fostering a synergistic environment where children and families feel supported, empowered, and actively involved in the therapeutic process. Through this approach, Robin aims to provide personalized, effective care that meets the unique needs of each child while building strong partnerships with families for lasting success.
She is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant and graduated from Columbia College in 2013. She began her professional career serving children in their natural environments and clinic-based settings.
Robin has completed training and continuing education in Beckman Oral Motor, Feeding Therapy: A Sensory-Motor Approach, a 28-hour course in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, Functional Assessment and Remediation of Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), and Foundations in Manual Therapy: Voice and Swallowing Disorders.
What Robin loves most about working with children is the opportunity to be a part of those special moments when a child says their first words. The joy and excitement these milestones bring to both the child and their parents are truly rewarding. Being part of that journey—and knowing she’s contributing to such an important step in a child’s development—is what makes her work so fulfilling.
Robin lives in West Columbia with her husband, Ryan, their two children, Ava and Lucas, and their black lab, Sadie. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family—especially traveling to Disney and enjoying all things fall and Christmas! One of her greatest joys is watching her children explore their interests and grow into their unique personalities, cherishing the everyday moments that make family life so special.
